Windows XP Professional fresh install with SP3 OEM CD applied but updates from Microsoft web site not working - 2011. August 22, 2011 I just did a fresh install of Windows XP Professional formatting the hard drive. I then applied SP3 from a OEM CD I purchased from Microsoft several years ago (part number X14-60166-02).
Windows XP Service Pack 3 (SP3) is the third major update for Windows XP. It contains all of the previously released XP updates, plus new security patches and a few stability enhancements. Can I still get Windows XP sp3? Do you just need the Service Pack 3? Please do note that Windows XP is not supported anymore.
