There's also a $5,500 2005 Mazda 6 (128K kms) and a $4,500 2004 Toyota Corolla (122K kms). Edit: Also $6,000 2012 Volkswagen Passat (161K kms). As someone with a 2nd hand Cruze, can confirm. Do not buy this car unless you have unlimited time and money to invest in fixing it. Avoid the Holden Cruze at all costs. It is a very solid vehicle, lots of room, good for city and highway driving, and reasonably fun to drive. It's an option definitely worth considering. The only other car in this class/price range I've driven is an 08 Cobalt. The thing is fantastic on the highway, but feels awkward in city driving. The Yaris SEDAN from back then was a Mazda2 with Toyota badging, and it was like the Honda Fit: a little loud, but fun to drive and durable. But this Yaris liftback is, to paraphrase someone here a couple years ago, "a shitty little misery-car." I would avoid those altogether, they're almost Russian-car levels of awful.
Any thoughts on this car for a small family of 3 (with a 3 year old) that won't get any bigger. We use the car quite sparingly (the volvo has 15k km after 2 years). We use the car for shopping runs, trips to the mountains (1-2 hour drive) and the odd long drive (500-600km) once a year. Is it worth considering instead of the Yaris Cross?
City cars (107 etc) - designed to work primarily in the city, occasional motorway use only. Superminis (fiesta etc) - smaller cars designed to be better all rounders while still being affordable to run. Ok for semi regular motorway trips but not optimal. C segment (golf etc) - designed to be jack of all trades.
Thanks for all your input!! I'm in the US, looking for an automatic, so I think I will stay away from the Fiesta. I was considering a used car but it seems like I'll be able to get a lower interest rate on a new car (ex. the Yaris has a 2.9% financing offer right now). I don't know anything really about Hyundais but I'll take look!
Sort by: SpyCake1. • 7 hr. ago. The 2020 Yaris HB in the US is just the newer Mazda 2. But I guess you probably already knew that. This is a really weird comparison to be making. 1 - Obviously a newer and better car, but has been in a crash and costs 2x. vs 2 - Older, more basic car, good shape, 1/2 the price, but would need to learn a manual.
Got my 07 hatch in 2011 for 4500 with only 45k on the car. Still can't believe the deal I got. Still driving it, just broke 75k the other day. Wife's car is an 08 sedan with 105k on the clock. Super easy to work on, reliable as can be, and the fuel milage is insane. I average about 49 highway in my hatch.
First Car. 2007 Toyota Yaris. 19 years old and I'm currently looking to purchase my first car on my own. I've found a 2007 Toyota Yaris (Manual) on Carfax from one owner that has 180k miles. The last recorded maintenance was done at 115k. From the photos it looks to be in decent condition. its listed for 4000. Looking at 2017-21 rios and gt-lines and they seem to be cheap and the toyota yaris seems to be cheap. My family always had toyota cars no questions asked but I'm willing to reach out of toyota (got suzuki gsxr600 but i dont trust suzuki cars) So are 2017-2021 kias reliable or just go with a toyota yaris? What do you guys think?

Toyota yaris. Hello Yaris owners! I am interested in a used yaris in marketplace but my dad said his Fd’s yaris ain’t good (brake system?) especially in icy / snowy weather so she sold it shortly after she bought new. I would like to seek some opinion from owners. Thank you 🙏🏻.

70k miles, 1.3L engine with AA approved dealer. Wondering if this a good deal? Seems kind of expensive for a 10y old car, but it will be my first. Wondering if getting an inspection is worth it prior to buying? From AA or the like. Rear Coil spring corroded both sides (5.3.1 (b) (i)) Offside Front Service brake binding but not excessively very

Yaris are unbelievable. Dad had one for 20 years and only replaced it with my mk2 when I was changing. 2 yaris with combined 29 years of ownership - never had any trouble. I'd recommend buying some extra bright bulbs for headlights as they are a bit crap depending on where you drive.
Edit2: I just came back from the toyota store, no car is available right now.. The Raize is available in 10+ months, same for the Camry, the hybrids have at least 6 months wait. Only the Yaris and the Rush can be available in 1-2 months rekmu.
